Photos from the last one

I'm leaving to Argentina on the 15th of August and arrive there the following morning.

However I'd like to share some photos from my last trip over there. It was from Dec 2011 till May 2012. I was serving in a YWAM's Art Ministry called A.M.E (= Artists in their Maximum Expression).  Our base is located in Ituzaingó, Buenos Aires.

I have found it difficult to explain people what we exactly did as a ministry. Our days were so full but with so many different things! Hope these photos can give you an idea what was my life like.

Click one of the photos to see them bigger.

I painted a giant puzzle for our Christmas party
check out the decoration!
Our people have no money but heaps of creativity!

Merry Christmas! Without snow, darkness, biological family, gifts...
it felt more like a barbeque fiesta! :D a good one though!

Building the foundations of Naka's and Maru's house. Actually this was my job but Hiram wanted to look like the guy who's doing the hard work...

King's Kids organised a youth camp of few hundred teens... The
whole base was helping. We build a mini Buenos Aires into our hall.
That meant endless hours of work... I painted many of the houses...

I also got to cut nine 3D picture of polystyrene. They represented
nine spheres of the society: communication, government,
chruch/missions, sports,  economy, family, sience, art
and education. The teaching of the camp handled all these areas.

Teens performing Argentine folklore at the camp.

Every second month we arrange a Variete night in the middle of
the downtown! The idea is to invite artists to perform and chill out.
During these nights we get to know these people and
God has been opening their hearts a lot! Later we can invite
some of them to our devotional group meeting in the same place.

@ Variete. The place is btw CNO - a national prayer center of
YWAM Argentina - right opposite to the congress.

As a tourist I need to get out from Argentina every 4th month.
So once again I visited Uruguay. Nice!

Franchesca's and Jonathan's wedding in our base!
Once again: low budjet, hundreds of guests, weeks of hard work,
some miracles = the best wedding ever!

Haha, this is our ministry team!
AME: Jeremy
(standing left), Naka, Maru, me, Esteban, Priscila,
Paula
(left first row), Joel and Hiram.
There was an accident in the main railway station of Buenos Aires
that killed 51 people + an unborn baby. If I understood right the
authorities never apologized or took any kind of responsibility...
So as YWAM we have helped the families of the victims
and claimed justice for them.
This is us having a meeting on the station the accident happened.
We run some art classes every week. They are called Art Studio
and here is the ad I made for the local magazine.
I also took singing classes once a week.

Another ad! This is the best ad I've ever made! And yeah, it took time!

God is faithful and I got to see again my DTS friend Sarah from
Australia..! Can you guys believe that?  She was doing her school
of supernatural ministries at Bethel Church in California and now
did an outreach to Argentina! I'm still amazed of God's goodness!

I hanged out with Sarah's team for few days. Those guys were
crazy for God! I got to see some cool miracles.
This is from a Chinese restaurant we had lunch.
After eating we thanked the owner and the guys asked
if they can pray for her. Her shoulder got healed from all pain
she had had for a year and a half! Sarah translated to Mandarin as
the team was prophesying over her.
There was a violent storm in the eastern part (our part) of Buenos
Aires. Over a hundred trees fell down and nine people lost their life.

The light was cut off for few days at our base so we spent
Good Friday with candles.
There were lots of houses with trees on their roofs so we sent our team to cut the trees and clean the streets.

OK, sometimes it looked more like this.

However the whole accident was a perfect way to share God's love.
As we helped the people for free their spirit really changed!
There was hope instead of hopeless, zeal insted of apathy and
joy instead of sorrow! Many people asked us to pray for them
 before we said anything!

Our main event of the year was LIBERARTE. It's a performing art
competision of the teens of the area. Because of the great storm
we had to delay the event. It was meant to be held in a local
park but the park was a mess after the storm so we decided to
hold the event at our base...

I was helping for days with the decoration...
haha, I wish I was not that perfectionist.

Finally everything was ready for the show!

In the end our band Pujahca also played few songs.

In the end of the long day we also had another event at our base..!
This was Station Art - an artistic cafe.
We also played there but as acoustic.
During the six months we had many many many birthday parties.
There were a pirate party, costume party, surprise party...
Fiesta, fiesta, fiesta...!

Hey, this is from the church I use to go! They get together in a theatre. Most of the people are somehow artistic and the music and arts are a normal part of the reunions. Nowadays I use to do lights there - that's why the photo.

Hasta la proxima!
